Sts. Alex & Henry Kirowooza Parish is one of the 64 parishes in Masaka Diocese. It was opened up in 2019, and has since then been steadily developing spiritually, and physically with regards to structures. As you will know from our long history on the website, we are three appointed priests on ground, sharing a small House, that was originally meant to accommodate only two priests. We have for the past three years embarked on constructing a new Presbytery (House for Priests), to accommodate all the three priests in our Parish. 

The new Presbytery will bring new life to our parish community, because:

1. Our Priests will have a comfortable and private residence to stay. 

2. ⁠We shall be able to use the old residence for office and administration. (we have one office that is being used by all the three priests, and the parish secretary).

3. ⁠The Parish Executive (management team) will be able to use part of the old house for their meetings since we have no parish hall for meetings. Any other faith group will be able to use the parlor for meetings and workshops in a provisional way. 

4. ⁠The new House will have a provision for the visiting priests to have accommodation. We always have priests come in to facilitate retreats and workshops especially during advent and lent seasons. 

We have mobilized the Christian community through various local fundraisings, and small donations through their various out stations. That is how we have been able to raise $22,000 to construct the structure you see in the pictures, from the foundation to wall plate. Your donation will help us to go through these remaining phases:

1. Roofing 

2. ⁠Plastering 

3. ⁠Electrical and water installations 

4. ⁠Purchasing Doors and windows 

5. ⁠Painting 

6. ⁠Installing tiles on the floor 

7. ⁠Furnishing the house with furniture and other necessary equipment.

8. ⁠Constructing a perimeter wall around the house for security and privacy of the priests.

With the above, we shall have achieved 100% of the Parish dream. 

While we look for funds from well wishers, I as Pastor will continue to mobilize the Christians through the different faith based groups in the parish, to keep supporting their parish because we look forward to the maintenance of what we have in place.
